*You have experienced physical ailments over a period of time, like back pain, headaches, upset stomach?
*You hesitate before making a phone call, sending a card, applying for that job?
*Feel someone else is smarter, prettier, better at “it”, more deserving……?
*You struggle with guilt or constant fear?
*How have you been treated by your partner or other in your life?
*They have little or no time for you
*Roll their eyes while conversing with you?
*Often correct what you say?
*Withhold love or affection from you?
*Criticize you in front of others?
*One moment give you a compliment or do something nice, then behave badly toward you?

The above samples are all examples of abusive behavior. This is not a complete list and you may be able to add to those examples from your own personal experiences or from observing others. If you are the target only once or twice you may not have been much affected, or it may have had a lasting affect on you, repeated episodes of abuse usually leave their mark. This type behavior is more telling about the abusive person than about their you, their target. If you are in physical danger please do what you can to get into a safe environment.
Working with a coach is all about starting at the present moment and preparing for the future. Working together you can identify what you need to release and how to heal from it. Often we set a goal, realize we are stuck and may relate the need for improve self esteem and confidence in order to success. Identifying the behaviors is the first step to making changes.
