A fun part of March Wonderfulness is the wearing of the green and enjoying green drinks. (My favorite treat this month is the Minty Green Shake at one of the local fast food spots.) We celebrate St. Patrick’s day with food, fun and fantasy. As everyone is a little Irish this month, families and friends gather for a boiled dinner, typically cornbeef and cabbage, some Irish tunes and hopefully lots of laughter. For those of us in New England it’s a nice way to forget about the cold weather of our winter months, and have another event to focus on, especially since the Super Bowl has come and gone.
The color green in our Chakra system is the color of the Fourth or Heart Chakra, that is located in the center of our being with three chakras above and below, it is where we find balance and love, types of nutrition we need to thrive on. As we gather with friends and family we can put the five languages of love Gary Chapman taught us:
1. Words of Appreciation
2. Acts of service
3. Quality Time
4. Giving Gifts
5. Physical Touch
Showing love to others need not cost us financially or be an extensive act. Saying, “Thank You”, smiling and opening a door for someone, a little note with nothing more than a smiley face on it, turning off your cell phone while visiting with someone – are all simple ways to show love and kindness.
Another of my favorite green drinks is a protein smoothie made of a barley powder, almond milk and a protein powder made of peas. With summer coming many of us are think, too, of that need to fit into our summer wardrobe, another annual winter tradition. As a Life Coach I can help folks develop and meet this goal using motivational activities and tools. As a Health Coach I can provide information, ideas and product suggestion to incorporation into your routines that will give you the best nutrients and help you form great habits. One of my personal favorites is the Weight Loss Guide. It does at times refer to products offered by The Aim Companies, but it has guidelines for anyone to follow. If you are interested in more information regarding The Aim Company products give me a call and/or check out their info: Betty-Ann’s AIM for Nutrition
