COACH BETTY-ANN’S CODE OF ETHICS
Confidentiality:
- Our sessions will be treated with respect. The information that you share will remain confidential.
- In Group Sessions all participants will agree to hold in confidence any personal information that is shared during the session.
- I will not release any information about a client unless that client give me direct permission or I am called into a legal situation and am required to testify.
Client Care:
- The needs of the client will take top priority.
- I will come to our sessions prepared and be available as planned.
- I will provide clients with appropriate tools to help them meet their goals.
- I will not be judgmental or criticize you.
- I will respect the client’s boundaries and needs.
- If I feel that a client would benefit from the services of a professional offering services out of my area I will not hesitate to provide a referral.
- I will help the client learn to develop techniques to achieve their desires and goals, giving very little advice.
My Personal Responsibility:
- I will continue to study and grow as a coach.
- I realize the need to care for myself in order to bring energy and enthusiasm to our sessions and to set an example for my clients.
- During my time with clients I will stay in the moment, limiting distractions such as calls and text messages.

- If you share information in one of our sessions, either one to one or in a group setting, that reveals possible life threatening injury to yourself or another, I will need to report this information to the appropriate persons.
- Although our sessions are confidential, I am obligated to speak the truth if summoned into a court or legal situation.
- I am a wellness coach and may provide supplemental products. The client is responsible to follow through with their physicians and medical professionals to be sure any of these products are not harmful to the client, in conflict with prescriptions or allergies the client may have.
- The client is at all times responsible to check with their medical professionals about any exercise that we discuss to be sure the client will do no harm to themselves. (For example: Every person has different abilities and afflictions. Even a simple walk or stretching exercise may cause some persons to experience an injury or inflammation that typically is great for the majority of folks.)
